My Job Is Better Than Your Job

There are a ton of things I love about my job, but number one is helping make customers happy.  It’s a great feeling to see customers smiling as they depart Kitty Hawk Watersports.  It’s amazing how much laughing and smiling we see in one day.  This one basic thing makes the difference in going home from work in a good mood or not.

Low Maintenance Wardrobe

Another cool thing about my job is wearing a bathing suit for about five months of the year.  To put it another way, for five months I rarely wear underwear.  Sorry you had to read that.  In addition, I don’t spend a lot of money on my work clothes and it’s okay if they get wet.  More than once a summer, I pull clean trunks out of the washing machine that are still wet and pull ’em on.  Heck, they’re going to get wet in an hour or two anyway.

After-Hours Perks

If you worked at a manufacturing plant for pencils, you’d probably have access to lots of pencils or at least a good discount on them.  Well, we have access to all the things we rent AND we usually take them out after hours which means sunset cruises.  If we don’t have fun doing stuff in the summer, it’s probably our own fault.

Additional Bonus: A Great Tan

Some people pay good money to get a fake tan.  Not this guy.  All natural and all free.

Meet Lots of New People

But seriously, we service at least 200 people on a busy day, which makes it hard to get to know each person, but we still try to enjoy each customer and help them have as much fun as we’re having.
